Obesity: A by-product of Trade or Attitude?

چکیده

Camilleri et al. report that intuitive eating, defined as unconstrained food intake in response to physiological rather than emotional cues, is inversely associated with overweight and obesity (1). This study was conducted in a French cohort as part of the NutriNet-Sant e study, and it suggests that controlling the motives for eating may be a viable public health policy for preventing or reducing obesity. Further work using NutriNet-Sant e data found that eating for pleasure is positively associated with overweight (2).
